Maarika Heinsalu

Maarika joined BDO in Estonia in October 2019 as a project manager at the Payroll and Reporting Services team. Her client portfolio consists of international and local companies of various size. She is also responsible for attracting new clients and finding new business opportunities for cooperation. Maarika enjoys working with diverse challenges and gives her best to find solutions to the changing situations and expectations of her clients. As of October 2020 she leads one of our payroll teams.

Prior to joining BDO team, Maarika worked for cloud based Human Resources and Payroll provider Zalaris and ABB, an international group supporting the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future for all of us. Her main responsibilities were compiling the reporting, assuring the data correctness and daily operations with HR records and payroll. Maarika has a profound knowledge of summarized working time.

Maarika is an advanced user of Taavi Personal and Taavi Palk software which are widely used in Estonia. She also uses SAP HR module on a daily basis and is an experienced user of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

She has graduated Tallinn School of Economics twice – obtaining her first diploma in 2008 as administrative assistant and the second in 2015 at the human resources management. To continuously improve her skills and knowledge, Maarika regularly participates in various specialist trainings.
